Why We Do This

Every year the U.S. burns 1 billion tons of coal to produce electricity. 66% of that electricity is wasted. This translates to nearly 1.3 billion tons of carbon dioxide released into the atmosphere (the equivalent of 227 million cars) to produce electricity we don’t use.

What we do: A lot of this energy is wasted because electricity consumers have no idea of when they are wasting electricity. We are building the best electricity pricing and optimization data and tools, and making them open and available via apps, web services and APIs.
